Email Protocols (IMAP vs. POP) and Incoming and Outgoing Server Settings

Email Protocols (IMAP vs. POP) and Incoming and Outgoing Server Settings

*Logic.bm email works with both POP and IMAP. However, we strongly encourage customers to use IMAP because it allows users to store their email on remote servers. This two-way protocol also allows the user to synchronize their email among multiple devices. Meaning if the email is deleted from the smartphone, it deletes from the logic inbox as well as the smartphone. If the customer is not getting email and they are set to POP then we are essentially trying to troubleshoot a ghost email.

Android NoteChecking the “Set as premium account (POP/IMAP)” box means that specific email account will be your default email account.

It does not mean that you are choosing the email support type.
